Elk Plain Taxidermy

James "Paull" Durbin (Owner/Taxidermist) began working and learning taxidermy under the skillful eyes of taxidermist and tanner, William (Bill) Moses from 2005-2008. In the winter of 2008 Paull went to work, as an already well versed taxidermist, for Fred Peters until starting Elk Plain Taxidermy in 2013.

January 2013, Elk Plain Taxidermy opened it's doors with mostly tanning work. Our business has grown slowly but steadily by word of mouth. It didn't take long for the phone to start ringing with requests for Paull's artistry.

Paull has been an active supporter of S.C.I. for years, participating in events and youth hunts as well as being an official measurer.

Since starting the business has donated to several worthy causes including a disabled hunter, RMEF, and S.C.I. banquets
